Renewable Energy Sources

Wabash Valley Power believes that renewable and earth-friendly power sources are sensible choices because they both protect the planet and provide a local source of electricity that is less affected by outside issues and interests.

ENVIROWATTS®

Through the EnviroWatts earth-friendly generation alternatives program, Wabash Valley Power makes it possible for co-op members to purchase electricity generated through environmentally friendly sources. EnviroWatts is the association's name for energy that is generated from sources such as wind and biomass. Members of participating co-ops can agree to buy their Renewable Energy Credits (REC's) from these sources for a slight premium.
